Day 02 Toni Maticevski

Walking off the ferry and walking through Circular Quay I was ready to brace Round Two. When I passed The Tent and heard Lana Del Rey's 'Video Games' blaring for the Maticevski rehearsal I had a good feeling. Backstage was a breeze. There was no shouting or yelling and there was an air of calm in there, something that many people say about the Maticevski shows. The collection was very feminine, neutral and a little bit sexy and on the dark side with a Morticia Addams hairstyle, dramatic eye makeup and long nails. The way that Maticevski understands the female figure is amazing and his manipulation of darts and panel lines to create structure and fluidity within each piece was divine. Sadly, I didn't manage to capture my favourite two items from the show (as I was busy actually watching my first show for the week), which were part of second looks; a pair of yellow sheer pants and a pair of off-white sequin leggings.
